Marlon Young became the new lead guitarist for Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker Band in 2007. He first appeared on the album Rock N Roll Jesus and was the replacement for lead guitarist Kenny Olson. Young was previously the guitarist for The Truth; the backing band for Ty Stone who was signed to Kid Rock's Top Dog Records. Young co-wrote the majority of Rock N Roll Jesus with Kid Rock. Prior to this he played electric guitar on Kid Rock's song "I Am" on the 2003 album Kid Rock. His guitar work on Rock N Roll Jesus has been compared to AC/DC's Angus Young by Rolling Stone.
